BACKGROUND

Design Studio specialised in Contemporary Furniture and Design Interiors.

Beatriz Diaz Matud was born in Madrid where she graduated in Fine Arts at the UCM. Later, after finishing an MA in Product Design at the IED in Milan, she moves to London where she sets up her studio at the Oxo Tower in London 1998 dedicated to the design and development of furniture and interiors while distributing the bdm Collection, a range of occasional furniture and contemporary accesories.

Today, from her studio in Barcelona bdm design works as a design consultant in Furniture and Interior Projects collaborating with architects, designers and private clients within the residential, retail and hospitality industries.

The evolution of a Design Project involves research and close communication with the client, the use of in-house media including hand drawing, 2d and 3d visuals and model making when and if required.
